The Restoration of the Kingdom of Chu Zhao

"The "Falling Cage Book" is one of the "white texts" of puppet theater, with 26 plays and 10 sections. The so-called "white text" refers to the early opera written mainly in the Quanzhou dialect. Three types of transcriptions exist today: one was copied in December of 1893; the second was copied into the missing months; and the third was transcribed in the 1980s. The first is the most complete copy collected so far, except for the first page is missing, and there are two pages in the middle that are obviously part of the repair, and there are some occasional defects in individual plays, it can be said that the original appearance is basically maintained. This book is a continuation of "Lin Tong Dou Bao", in which "Han Jiang Zhai" and "Weeping Qin Ting" are both famous plays of Quanzhou puppet theater, while "Returning to the Road" is both elegant and vulgar, and is appreciated by both the elegant and the vulgar. The role of Guidao is played by a laughing student, which is even more interesting and hilarious.
