The little monk is lazy and he often neglects to say his daily prayers. When it’s time for him to go down the mountain, he begins to feel a little unsure of himself. While he walks, the weather changes dramatically. A furious storm with thunder and lightening breaks out. The road becomes extremely slippery. Running for shelter, the little monk falls over and hurts himself badly. He quickly realizes that in order to save himself through the disaster he should say his prayers more often.
In this show the puppeteer depicts the characteristic of a lazy and humorous little monk particularly in the way he slips, falls, and picks up himself in the storm. It is a masterpiece of the Quanzhou marionette show.
