Wu Weihong, National Grade 2 actor and choreographer. He is a representative inheritor of provincial-level non-heritage. He combines the skills of performing and making helmets for the puppet theater in Quanzhou. His puppet helmet works have been actively performed in the opening ceremony of the Beijing Olympic Games and the "Chinese Spring Festival Gala" at the United Nations Headquarters, and other world-class performance platforms. His works have been collected permanently by Waseda University in Japan and the Mintai Yuan Museum in China.
In the past 44 years, he has won numerous awards, including the Golden Lion Award for "Outstanding Performance" in the first National Puppet Shadow Competition, the "11th Wenhua New Play Award" and the "Wenhua Collective Performance Award". The second National Puppet and Shadow puppet Competition for Young and Middle-aged Performers, "Outstanding Performance Award"; the 25th Fujian Drama Festival and the 31st Quanzhou Drama Festival, "Performance First Prize"; "Performance Award" in the 5th Shanghai International Puppet Festival, visiting more than 50 countries in five continents.
